Marie Hall Smith, RN, MSN

Nonprofit Community Leader

Marie Smith is a highly experienced and passionate volunteer who has years of experience in leading nonprofit organizations and boards throughout San Antonio. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Marie received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing as well as a Master of Science in Nursing.  For many years, she served as a pediatric oncology/hematology clinical specialist as well as an instructor at the Vanderbilt School of Nursing.  She is the former Executive Director of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation (San Antonio affiliate chapter) and the Alamo Heights School Foundation.  She has held more than fifty positions on a wide array of nonprofit boards and community organizations, often serving in leadership roles with organizations such as the San Antonio Area Foundation, Texas Lutheran University, The United Way of Bexar County and South Texas, the Charity Ball Association, and the Cancer Center Council.
