Tori Parsons, RDN, LD is the Mayor’s Fitness Council Program Specialist for CHEF, providing support to elementary schools implementing the CHEF curriculum through the Student Ambassador Program.
Tori completed her undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University where she earned a Bachelors of Science in Nutritional Sciences. During her undergrad, Tori was president of the Texas Student Dietetic Association, a statewide organization that promotes unity among dietetic students across Texas. She also served as chair for the Dietetic Internship Preparation Workshop, which serves as a resource for students to explore the fields of dietetics and network with other peers and professionals.

During her internship, she worked with CHEF as a dietetic intern, where she learned about CHEF’s mission to drive healthy eating through basic nutrition and practical cooking skills. CHEF helped her realize her passion for working directly with children and teaching them delicious, easy recipes. Prior to beginning the full time position, Tori also worked with CHEF as a summer intern as well as a camp counselor at the San Antonio Botanical Garden CHEF cooking camps.
Tori currently serves as Secretary for the Texas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation, an organization that grants scholarships to deserving nutrition students seeking to become dietitians.
With her passion for nutrition, students, and cooking, she is excited to help encourage the children of San Antonio to help their families in the kitchen and enjoy delicious, nutritious meals!
