Anne Messbarger-Eguia, MA, MPA

Vice President, Strategy and Operations, CHEF

Anne Messbarger-Eguia, MA, MPA is Vice President, Strategy and Operations for CHEF.  She has nearly 30 years of experience in organizational strategic planning and has led and/or facilitated hundreds of strategic planning workshops and comprehensive planning processes in communities throughout the United States and in Central and South America.  She has extensive experience in long-term visioning and strategy development using scenario planning, and other innovative processes.  Additionally, Anne has extensive experience in the discipline of strategy management, using the Balanced Scorecard methodology.  Anne’s strengths include customized process design, facilitation, strategy development, and ongoing strategy management. Anne led the Strategic Planning Department at CHRISTUS Health for over 20 years, providing strategic planning support to CHRISTUS facilities as well as to numerous affiliated not-for-profit organizations.  She became a founding member of the CHEF team in 2013 and is responsible for organizational strategy and operations. Anne has a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and English from the University of Illinois in Urbana, IL.  She has an Master of Arts in Hispanic Literature from the University of Texas at Austin and Master of Public Administration from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin.
