Lauren Prescott is the Program Coordinator at CHEF. A San Antonio native, she graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics. She has always been intrigued with the world of health and nutrition and ways to light that passion in others. Prior to graduation, Lauren traveled extensively through Europe and parts of South America, exploring the role of nutrition and wellness in different cultures. For the last few years, Lauren has worked both in administrative roles and as a health coach, where she gained additional skills in coaching her peers to improve diet and wellness. More recently, she was the Program Coordinator at San Antonio Oasis, a local non-profit for older adults focused on lifelong learning. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing multiple programs for older adults including, technology, fitness, nutrition, the Intergenerational Tutoring program, and Silver Connect. When she learned about CHEF and the work they were doing to teach and instill healthy habits amongst the children in local schools, she knew this was the place she needed to be to channel her passion for not only health and nutrition but also giving back to her community. Lauren is thrilled to begin her career at CHEF where she will utilize her skills and background in nutrition to help continue grow CHEF’s mission of creating life-long healthy habits in our youth and community!
