Italian Style Dressing

  • ¼ cup balsamic or white wine vinegar
  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ¼ teaspoon onion granules or onion powder
  • pinch salt (optional)
  • freshly ground black pepper

DIRECTIONS

  1. Add all ingredients into a sealable container.  A mason jar works best.  Seal and shake vigorously to combine.
  2. Store in the refrigerator and let the dressing come to room temperature before using. Best if used within 7 days of preparing.

COOKING TIP/SUGGESTION

The Italian-style Dressing can be used to marinade foods or as a finishing sauce for grilled chicken, poached fish, or roasted veggies.
